The Condotel is housed in an ancient palace of 1700 completely restored in the heart of Giudecca: old Jewish quarter where there are the remains of Mikvé, a Jewish purification bath, the oldest of all European Synagogues and just in front of the condotel. A few minutes walk there’s also the fifteenth century Synagogue of Syracuse, one of the most evocative of the city.

The 23 bi-level suites, most of which overlooking the enchanting Gulf of Ortygia, are located on two floors and have been all designed reflecting the ancient processing of the limestone tuff stone of Syracuse.

What to see in Syracuse
Allegroitalia Syracuse Ortigia is located inside the island of Ortigia, the historic center of Syracuse – city founded between 734 and 733 BC from the Corinthians. Opposite our structure are the remains of Mikvé (or Mikveh): a Jewish purification bath. It is the oldest of all European Synagogues, dating back to the 6th century AD, is still intact and visited every day.

In the North-Eastern part of the city you can visit the Capuchins’ Latomie, which as the word says, coming from the Greek, was in principle a place that provided for centuries the material for the construction of the city of Syracuse, of which it represents one of the more specific testimonies of its millennial history.
Within the district of the township we can find the church and the catacombs of Santa Lucia.
Finally, the city of Syracuse is located a few kilometers from the capital of Baroque architecture: Noto; from the natural reserve of Vendicari, from the Rock Necropolis of Pantalica, from the Plemmirio Park, from the Papyrus and Fonte Ciane museum and from the Cavagrande Nature Reserve.

Allegroitalia Siracusa Ortigia is in a pedestrian area and can not be reached by car: you can arrive in Via Nizza n. 50 and call the hotel reception at +39 0931 1798050. We will be happy to help you with your luggage! The reception is open from 7:00 to 22:00.
Book the car valet service at a cost of € 25.00 per night, from 7:30 am to 7:30 pm: an employee of a nearby garage will pick up your car that will be returned to the structure as needed (delivery to be requested one hour before the desired time).
In the area there is also a public covered parking (Parcheggio Talete) at a cost of 10 euros for 24h.
